Almudena Adalia, Artistic Director.

After making the change from my career in law, I followed my passion for the Performing Arts and became a Theatre Director and Creative Producer, specializing in puppetry.

I am inspired by fun, absurd and playful work across different disciplines that audiences can feel part of, touching on issues to which we can all relate.

My ambition is to create strongly stylized and well-crafted work that takes risks and challenges audiences.

As an Assistant to Director I have worked for:

-Paul Hunter (Told by an Idiot): ‘Get Happy’ (The Pit Barbican 2015) ‘Heads will Roll’ (National Tour 2016).

-Mehmet Argen (Arcola Theatre): ‘Don Gil of the Green Breeches’ (The Spanish Golden Age Season, Arcola Theatre 2013).

-John Stefaniuk (Disney Theatrical Group): ‘The Lion King Musical’ (The Lion King U.K Tour 2012 / The Lion King Spain 2011).

-Mark Down (Blind Summit): ‘The Table’ (Mime Festival 2012).

I also work as a freelance puppetry consultant, having been in charge of the puppetry direction for the newest shows by Total Insight Theatre ‘Leandro’ and Told by an Idiot ‘Heads will Roll’.

My puppetry training include: The Little Angel Theatre in London, L’Institute de la Marionnette, Rachel Warr, Fabrizzio Monthechi, Peter O’Rouke, Mervyn Millar and Liz Walker.

I was selected to participate in the Emerging Producers Development Programme at Fringe Edinburgh Festival 2016. Previously I have been part of the production and development teams of: The Arcola Theatre, Stage Entertainment Spain, Disney Theatrical Group, Little Soldier Productions, Producciones Yllana and Secret Cinema among others.

Associate Artists

Luis Alvarez, Sound and Light Designer.

2010 marks the beginning of my British life. Here is when I started working as Technical Manager for the LOST Theatre in London and had the chance to design both lighting and sound for a large amount of shows including Jerusalem (by Jez Butterworth), Hospital Food (by Eugene O'Hare), Tomorrow I'll Be Happy (by Jonathan Harvey), Gargantua (by Carl Grose) or Market Boy (by David Elridge). I also operated comedy (including shows from Alan Davies, Richard Herring, Russell Kane, Jack Dee, Russell Howard...), cabaret (Mr. B the Gentleman Rhymer, EastEnd Cabaret, Marcel Lucont...) and several jazz & flamenco gigs.

In 2013 I started also working as a designer for other theatre companies focusing in other styles including puppetry, physical theatre, dance and greek tragedies. My designs have been seen in venues such as the National Theatre Shed, the Soho Theatre, the Trycicle Theatre or the Little Angel Theatre.

In mid 2015 I took the decision of leaving LOST and focus entirely in my career as freelancer. Presently I'm collaborating with Around The Glove (Puppet theatre company), Limb2Limb Theatre (Physical Theatre) and Vertebra Theatre (Puppetry & Visual Theatre) among others. As sound engineer I'm currently collaborating with the band Alma.
